Pneumatic and PLC Training Courses

Accreditation: MERSETA 17-QA/ACC/0238/08 (Fee claims: www.merseta.org.za)

Program Objectives: Learners must understand the principles of the programs and be able to interpret, design circuits and simulate industrial related diagrams. A certificate will be issued to competent learners after an assessment by the facilitator.  A Portfolio of Evidence (POE) will be completed. Practical simulation will be done for all exercises. All courses are moderated.

Program Material: Workbook/textbook and stationery

Venue: In-House. Minimum 4 learners (Gauteng), maximum 10 learners – Pneumatic & PLC Basic

SO 1: Read and interpret basic pneumatic diagrams and related components.

SO 2: Identify and select pneumatic components

SO 3: Install basic pneumatic circuits (simulation)

SO 4: Test basic pneumatic circuits and record results (simulation)

SO 5: Maintain basic pneumatic circuits (simulation)

SO 6: Work safely with care for self, fellow workers, machines, equipment, materials and environment

Summative Assessment and Certification

PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) – MODULE 1 (Basic)

SO 1: Identify and explain the function of PLC devices (sensors) and output devices (actuators)

SO 2: Design basic PLC sequential control programs

SO 3: Install basic PLC circuits (simulation)

SO 4: Configure inputs / outputs, test and run the PLC programs (simulation)

SO 5: Record information on work done

SO 6: Work safely with care for self, fellow workers, machines, equipment, materials and environment

Summative Assessment and Certification

PNEUMATIC – MODULE 2 (Cascade Design)
Course Fee: R3 675.00 excl. VAT @ 14%
Duration: 2/3 days (08h30 – 16h00)
Previous Experience: Module 1 Pneumatic, or equivalent

NQF: Level 3                    
        
(Credits 10: Calculated as a combination of Mod 1 & Mod 2 completed)
